Candy graduated from Whittier College 2005 as a 4 year collegiate athlete participating in soccer and softball with a BA in Literature and Art History. The following year she joined Peace Corps and was assigned to a small village in central Ukraine teaching Healthy Life Styles, English, Journalism, and HIV/AIDS Awareness. After returning to the States she began studying for an AAS as a Physical Therapist Assistant and became a licensed provider 2010.
She enjoys working together as a team with the patient’s primary therapist to treat the whole individual, working toward the most functional outcome possible. In her free time she volunteers at Seattle AIDS Alliance and pursues other hobbies such as rock climbing, soccer, snowboarding, and of course costume parties!
Candy will be entering the Gift Fellowship Program through the Gary Gray Institute to further her learning about Applied Functional Science. This program takes place over a 40 week time period and consists of over 300 hours of educational learning and will focus on using applied functional science for assessment, training and conditioning, rehabilitation, and injury prevention.
